For our first year cruising, most days aboard Three@Sea have some type of first associated with them. Today is no different. I gave my first haircut, and Dave was brave enough to endure it.

Armed with a sheet on the floor (too windy to cut outside), new clippers, multiple attachments, and a plastic cape I was ready for my first victim. The good news is Dave likes his hair short and easy. With the wind we have had this winter, any other hairstyle turns into a wind blown mohawk.

I was nervous as I have never used a pair of clippers before. I was amazed at the amount of hair that came off his head. It didn’t really look all that long when I started.  15 minutes later, having used 5 different attachments I finished.  He was happy, and I was relieved. I’m now ready to hang the barber pole on the stern and start generating some funds for the cruising budget.
