When I first saw the 160 foot yacht called Mine Games at the Atlantis Paradise Island Marina in the Bahamas, I was flabbergasted. I had never in my life seen a boat so incredibly…Big (other than cruise ships and freighters, but I’m talking about luxury yachts)! It was the biggest in the Atlantis Marina both times we were there, as well as the biggest in the Old Port Cove marina, where we just were.
When I saw MIne Games at Old Port Cove, I decided it was fate, and that we had to meet them. Mustering up most of my courage, I delivered a note to the Chief Stewardess of the yacht talking about our adventure and how we loved their boat. Needless to say, I was absolutely, unconditionally, incredibly, 100% excited when I got a call on my phone from Erin, the chief stewardess, inviting us to the yacht! I was honored, and really really excited to see the inside and meet the crew.
It did not live up to my expectations…It exceeded them. Blew past them, leaving them in the dust.
Just stepping onto the smooth, wooden deck and shaking hands with the crew was enough to make me blissfully happy for the rest of the day. However, we also got to tour the inside of the boat! It really is amazing. Practically like a mansion on water (well, it actually is). There were five staterooms and two salon areas as well as several heads and a large area devoted to the crew! On the outer deck is a hot-tub positioned so you have a prime seat in the outdoor cinema! Wow!
The crew was also incredibly nice! Erin showed us all around the boat and answered lots of questions. She also gave my whole family Mine Games crew polos and t-shirts! We met one of the other “interior girls” as well as the chef, one of the deckhands, and the captain! Everyone was so welcoming and pleasant.
As we were about to do a quick interview on the back deck, the captain came in telling us that we
had to cut it short because the owner was on his way! You always have to be ready when you are crew!
This experience was awesome, and thank you to the crew of Mine Games for making it so! I had a great time!
