•be inspired by the richness and accessibility of the world, reducing fear of the world at large;
•understand the importance and fragility of our waters, and take individual action to protect them;
•embrace and celebrate the diversity of cultures and environments around the world, realizing that there is much more that bonds us than divides us;
•become global citizens of a shrinking world community, acting as ambassadors and teachers within their sphere of influence;
•learn what it's like to voyage upon the world's oceans and waterways, experiencing the routes and ports that define the history of humankind's global exploration.
